happy easter

Hope you all have a wonderful and safe Easter weekend!

st. patrick’s day

Last night, the kids created a leprechaun trap.. B came home from school convinced that if he caught one, he’d get a pot of gold..

Just before bedtime, they decided that a trail of marshmallows would help sucker him in.. I’m pretty sure an actual leprechaun did not get trapped and escape.. but some sort of creature definitely found his way, knocked over the trap, and ate all the marshmallows, because early in the morning, before daylight and before the kids woke, we snuck out to place a “pot of gold” in the trap.  The thing was tipped over and broken up.  They definitely loved the “evidence” left behind. ; )

(look at that bedhead hair.. ha!)

Ly was in mid-yawn position, while B was making up his story as to what may have happened..

I had a surprise breakfast waiting for them when they made their way back inside.. green pancakes + green milk.. along with some bacon.  And I made up some little goody bags last night.. I used some random left over party/holiday/scrapbooking items I had around the house.  The printables attached the the dollar bills were a Pinterest find, you can find them here.

The canvas bag, stamps and vellum envelope are from Studio Calico purchases, “I’m over the rainbow for you!” printable, here.  I made little activity color books with printables also found on Pinterest, the cover “I Am So Lucky to Know You” page here.  The vellum bag has some glitter paper charms I cut with my Silhouette and some yellow yarn for necklaces. “Pinch Proof” clothespin is holding a hair clip made from felt, directions for clover here, and B got a leprechaun hat pin.

We are off to take Spring pictures outdoors.. its a beautiful day!! Have a great St. Pat’s Day!

birthday party.

Since Ly’s 2nd birthday-pow-wow-indian party had to be cancelled in December due to illness, we rescheduled for hers to be joined with B’s 7th, and also another who made 5.  We added a few things to make it “cowboys and indians”..

The sugar cookies here were made by a friend, Stephanie.. (she ships via etsy here!)

The teepee was made by G and I… we used 2x1x10 boards with holes drilled in the top, tied with rope and covered in canvas painting drop clothes..

(it didn’t get too much play time.. as the inflatable obstacle course got all of the attention!)

Lyla with Poppy, my dad..

My most favorite picture of the day..

The rest are from my iPhone..
